About El (and why you can trust her)

El's (real) kitchen is always full of friends, but one of them couldn't enjoy El's snacks because of worries about gluten. And bland gluten-free snacks frustrated El who wasn't about to serve them to her guests. She had already launched a successful line of spice rubs (and knows something about taste), so she flavored some gluten-free snacks with them to please everyone.

She knew she'd scored when friends without worries about wheat scarfed down her snacks too – then asked for more. That's this snack – only it's even better (she's had more time to play with the recipe).

Everything in here is all natural, gluten-free, nut-free (do you feel more free already?), and has no trans fat; yet it's full of Omega-3s; it's high fiber and has whole grains.  Most importantly, it's got taste. Taste you'll crave – whether you care about wheat or not.

El, the owner, creator and visionary behind El's Kitchen, loves and is devoted to cooking and food culture, which infiltrates everything she does.

She received an MBA in Finance from Wharton at The University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and spent her corporate days working as a planner and consultant (which is not nearly as much fun as what she's doing now).

In 1998, her dreams of embarking on a new career in the food industry became a reality, and El's Kitchen was open for business. In the early years, her husband Jim offered his ideas and recipes as both Jim and El love to BBQ. These days, Jim stays out of the kitchen (smart man) and El runs the business (as well as the kitchen, although she enjoys the occasional helping hand) – and is always looking for new ways to add to the culinary landscape.

El incorporates her passions for barbecuing, grilling and roasting in every jar of her dry rub. And her interest in spice combos inspired her flavorful snacks. Her commitment to gluten-free and all-natural products is directly aligned with her desire to create healthy and tasty treats for your friends and family.
